The Scott Bain Method
__________
Specializing in Lymphatic Breast-Care & Augmentation Therapy

Although draping is one of the first things taught in massage school, and is practiced in every massage
session...it is the most awkward part of the massage for the therapist. I don't know a single Massage Therapist that hasn't
expressed some discomfort with this part of the massage.
Have you ever experienced an exquisite massage stroke being
interrupted by the Massage Therapist having stop to push the sheet back into place? Then you know what I mean.
My Draping Method
| ESALEN style draping |

|
| Clients who prefer this method are comfortable with their bodies and receive a more complete massage |
Notice how I am now able to massage the entire length of your body without
any interference from a sheet or towel!
This enables me to connect every area of your body
that I have worked on up to this point as opposed to a standard massage where the therapist works on one part, covers it up
and then moves to the next never (or very seldom) returning to tie those body parts together. This draping
technique allows me to massage you fully in long, continuous strokes that will leave you feeling extremely balanced and connected.
This style of massage and draping also helps one
to physically reconnect (emotionally and spiritually as well), with your own body and helps you to once again become comfortable
with yourself as a person and with your body in general. Once this has been accomplished, I recover you
with the oversized towel and have you turn over so I can work on the front of your body. The process is the same except I begin
the massage on your legs and move upward. So I uncover one leg all the way to the hip and fold the towel between your legs.
This allows me to massage your foot, leg, thigh and hip...and
again...to do so with long strokes as well. When finished, I cover that leg and uncover the other. When finished with the
legs, I leave them covered and undrape your stomach and breasts.
Once I have completed this portion of the massage (the Lymphatic
Breast-Care takes about 40-mionutes), I remove the oversized towel (keeping your genitals covered at all times), and
drape you as in the picture above (except you would be face up), and perform those long, luxurious strokes that cover you
from head to toe, which will unite the upper and lower body all together again.
Note: This ESALEN style of draping allows me to massage all but your
most private areas. The genitals are not massaged and are kept securely covered at all times.
| Bottom for Bikini Draping |

|
| Bottom permits full massage of the leg, hip and abdomen and can be untied for head to toe strokes. |
Bikini Bottom (instead of towel)
For some, wearing clothing (even a very small amount of clothing) makes
them feel more comfortable than not having any clothing on and being covered by any method of draping.
These photos show the type of bikini that my clients wear as an option to my ESALEN
draping method.
As you can see, the bikini bottom doesn't cover you as much as the draping
does... but still allows for a full massage to be applied to the legs, hips and abdomen.
It can also be unhooked (some are untied) which allows for the full body-length strokes that are the trademark the ESALEN
style of massage.
(No draping option)
As mentioned above, some clients prefer to not have any draping. I have a
lot of models and dancers as clients and they are quite comfortable with their bodies. If you prefer this option too,
(or the bikini option above) just let me know before we beging your session.
